8th Jan 2019 "Tales from a Darkroom"

For our first meeting of 2019 we welcome back John Horner LRPS for his second talk of the season. Of this talk, John says "Tonight I take you on a journey through the digital darkroom but instead of (yet) another session of processing images in Lightroom I will be sharing my hints and tips on some of the other features that don't get talked about such as Split Toning, Sharpening and Calibration. I will also be delving into Photoshop to share a few of my secrets. To round off the evening I'll be exploring ON1 Photo RAW 2019 which aims to rival both Lightroom and Photoshop."

"From Dusk to Dawn" with Mike Ridley

Mike Ridley works night shifts at the Nissan plant, so is out taking photos when many of us are sleeping. We'll be seeing some of his low light photography. And as it's the last meeting of the year, bring along some eatables to celebrate! (No alcohol allowed in the church though).

Competition Night!

We welcome a new judge to the club for our third competition. Dawn is a member of Penrith & District club, and has qualified fairly recently as a judge. Looking at some of her photos on their club website, we should be in for an interesting evening!

Silver Salver Print Night

Last year we had great fun going through the prints and trashing all the judge's marks - this is your opportunity to look at all of the prints and hear what the judge had to say about them.
