Emma Finch - "Portraits with Impact"

Emma Finch is an award-winning, internationally published, Manchester based Portrait Photographer. Emma has been a Professional Photographer for over 10 years and has won multiple awards including Photographer of the Year 2024, Top 3 International Portrait Photographer, had over 60 international publications including front covers and 9 times been a finalist in Portrait of the Year. 

This talk will be via Zoom.

Stokesley Photographic Society Exchange Visit

A few members from Stokesley Photographic Society will bring along a selection of their images to show us and discuss their photography.

Trevor Lane - Blending Two Images into One

Member Trevor Lane will demonstrate methods for selecting and blending two images in the first half of the evening. Members are requested to bring along their laptops with software to practise after the break.

Diane is a Premier Judge for the North East Midlands Photographic Federation and will judge via Zoom

Kevin Pigney - "Passion for Seascapes"

Kevin Pigney is a professional photographer based near Cambridge, East Anglia with a passion for outdoor photography, including wildlife/nature, macro and landscapes/seascapes.

This talk will be via Zoom.

Member Colin Fieldgate will give us a presentation based on his trip.

North Yorkshire and South Durham Inter-Club Competition

Richmond Camera Club will host the inter-club competition at 7pm at Richmond School

North Yorkshire and South Durham (NYSD) Inter-Club competition Silver Salver

We will be sharing the Silver Salver (individual) prints from the competition the previous week. Note that only a small selection of PDIs of these images will be shown on the competition night, so this will be our chance to see the full range of actual prints for ourselves.

Cherry is a Premier Judge for the Kent County Photographic Association and will judge via Zoom.

Tony North - "The Art of Macro Photography"

Tony North is a photographer based in Manchester.  His main passions are macro (mainly insects, flowers and fungi) and landscape photography and he occasionally does bigger animals!

This talk will be via Zoom.

We will be sharing the inter-club prints from this competition, giving members a chance to view and comment on the actual prints.

Stephen Fowler is from Ryton and undertakes judge training for the Northern Counties Photographic Federation. He will judge in person.

Julian Elliot - "Landscape and Travel Photography - Mongolia

Julian Elliott is an award-winning professional freelance landscape and travel photographer as well as an occasional writer who constantly travels the world. Basically he is a nomad traveller.  A lot of his time is spent in South-East Asia and Central Asia capturing landscapes and cityscapes along with the various cultures that inhabit them but he also loves to travel across Europe.

Alistair How - "Street and Urban Photography"

Alistair How has had a life long interest in photography and the outdoors, starting his career at Kodak after studying Geography at Southampton University.  Whilst his core interest remains landscapes, he is also very keen on city photography, including architecture, plus sport, documentary and travel. Favourite locations remain the Yorkshire Dales, especially the area around the three peaks, and Northumberland.

Member Colin Fieldgate will explain Topaz products and demonstrate their application

Competition No 4 - Judge: Rosemary Wilman HonFRPS APAGB ABPE.

Rosemary is a former President of the Royal Photographic Society and is based in Surrey. She will judge via Zoom.

Lynne Blount - "A journey to and from Vemodalen"

Lynne Blount is an experimental, expressionist and abstract photographer whose aim is to re-imagine reality.  Lynne mainly uses in-camera techniques such as intentional camera movement (ICM) and multiple exposures (MEs).  Lynne strives to capture the essence of her subjects rather than their reality, aiming to create images that resonate with the viewer's emotions, memories and life experiences.

This talk will be via Zoom.

Ross McKelvey MPAGB FIPF EFIAP/G FBPE- Studio Photography and Lighting 

Ross McKelvey has been warded over 500 Medals (and too many lesser awards to count!) in National & International Exhibitions since 2010. He is president and founder of Catchlight Camera Club, Belfast.

Competition Night 5 - Themed competition on the theme of "Wild Life". Note that this is two words and may be interpreted as widely as possible!

Judge: John Tillotson CPAGB from Penrith and District Camera Club.

Rick Hulbert - "Antarctica . . . Expedition Photography Outside Your Comfort Zone”

Rick Hulbert is an international award–winning and published architect, urban designer, and photographer. As a photographer, Rick has been named a “Laureate” within the worldwide Nikonians community.  Rick’s photography is informed from his background as a professional award winning and published Architect, Urban Designer, and Photographer.

This talk will be via Zoom.
