Well that came around rather quickly. We're into November with our second competition night of the season with Mike Vasey from Stockton Camera Club doing the honours of judging our competition. Our first competition saw some pretty good entries from both club and advanced members with landscape images making a comeback. What does tonight have in store for us all?
Following on from last night's meeting, Trevor Lane pointed out that the competition dates on the programme were slightly out of sync. Hand in night is basically two weeks before the results evening. I've amended the Programme page of the website to reflect this.
Our next meeting sees David Smith return to the club to give us another exhilarating talk on the world through his lens. In his own words: "My photographs express my delight in our beautiful but cruel world; my paintings stem from my conflict with it and viewers may make of them what they will." - David Smith An intriguing night lies ahead!
In the words of Andy Warhol, "In the future everybody will be world famous for fifteen minutes." We have four willing volunteers this evening taking the limelight to talk about their photography and showing us examples of their work. (image below by Trevor Thurlow")
A few members of Richmond Camera Club visited Durham Photographic Society last year to give a talk about their work. Durham PS are not reciprocating and a number of their members will visit us to show off their photographic work.
