Ken was one of the longest serving members of Richmond Camera Club and he comes back for a visit with a presentation entitled "Islands and Highlands". Ken favours AV presentations so we are guaranteed an entertaining evening.
We're just into the new year and Competition No 4 is already upon us. The judge for the evening will be our very own Martin Vickerman, who recently qualified as a judge for the northern region clubs. It should be an entertaining night. Who's keeping scores of how everyone is doing as we head towards the penultimate monthly competition? Will it be a close run thing or a one horse race for both the club and advanced members? *You should all recognise the background I've used fo
For those who are going on the Secret Snowdonia 2 workshop, here's a little taster of somewhere we might visit if time permits. It's also worthwhile checking out his other videos if you've got the time. Please note that Jason is very down to earth so his language might offend those of a more delicate nature.
Something a little different to kick off the New Year. Three or four members are going to bring along a selection of images to see if they are up to the standard required for a LRPS panel. The panel of "judges" will comprise those who already hold a distinction who will comment on the images presented.
It is hoped that both the members presenting their work and the comments will aid others in their quest for a distinction. So questions from the floor are invited.
As it's a new year, it's a timely reminder for those who use meta data in their cameras and/or in Lightroom that you need to update your copyright information. This video is from Jamie MacDonald and applies to Olympus cameras, so you'll need to dig out your user manual for your Nikons, Canons, Pentaxs etc (is that the correct plural for a Pentax btw?).
A new year has just begun, but it's over a week away until we head back to the camera club on the 10th of the month when we will be having a practical evening (more details to follow from Henrietta soon). Don't forget it's also hand in for Competition 4 (up to 3 prints and/or 3 DPIs).
