
4th April - The AGM
Part of the AGM is the election of officers of the club. There are a number of vacancies for next season and the committee hopes that there will be volunteers from the membership to take on these roles. Chairman: David Boath to step down. Jane Morris Abson has put her name forward for this role.

28th March - Annual Competition Results with Stephen Byard
As the season draws to a close, we arrive at the last competition of the season, the Annual. In the club class last year, Geoff Freeman romped away with both the DPI and the print competitions, while in the Advanced Class, honours were shared between Gordon Scott and Ken Hadfield winning the print and DPI competitions respectively. We welcome Jane Black back again to the club for a talk on her travels to Bali. After over a quarter of a century of dedication to the RPS, Jane is one of the most respected names in the photographic community. Her love of travel and photography has been her passion for many a year and as she says herself, "I have been involved with photography all my life either practicing it or organising it. 7th March - A Visit to Gordon Scott's Studio in Darlington
A special treat for our next meeting as Gordon Scott invites us to his studio in Darlington. With a model and MUA on hand, Gordon will demonstrate how to setup the lighting to create studio style portrait images. The theme for the evening is "Burlesque", so it's going to be well worth attending

1st March - Video of the Month
I was thinking that since it was St David's Day I wold post a link to a video from Wales, but have opted instead for a recent video from Robin Whalley again; this time in the Peak District. The Roaches is definitely one to pt in your diaries for a summer outing trip with the camera club!

3rd - 6th March Secret Snowdonia 2
Once again, John and Sylvia have arranged a three day workshop in and around John's home town of Blaenau Ffestiniog. Along with John and Sylvia four members of the camera club will explore the quarries, castles, lakes and a certain 'lone tree' that's very popular at the moment. John has arranged everything from the locations to the hotel. There's talk afoot of another workshop being planned for late Autumn in the north-west of Scotland.
