Richmond Camera Club did very well in the recent Northern Counties Photographic Federation competition, competing against 41 other clubs in the Northern Counties region.
The club achieved two third places, in the colour and mono print competitions. In addition, several pictures achieved Highly Commended.
Pauline Pentony achieved maximum points for her print, Puppet on a String. Well done Pauline.
Karen Campbell achieved maximum points in the Beginners section for her Projected Digital image (PDI), Loch at Last Light. Well done Karen.
There are two membership classes of the Camera Club, Club level and Advanced level. It's very encouraging to see that our Club level members entered the most images from any club in region with several pictures achieving Highly Commended. Well done to them and well done to all members of the club for entering the competition.
Club members are either beginners or less experienced photographers that are looking to improve their skills and picture taking. Advanced members are those fully familiar with picture taking and processing, some even hold distinctions within the photographic world. Advanced members also seek to improve their skills. Members of the Advanced group are always happy to help the Club members. We’re a friendly club, we don’t keep our knowledge secret.
